7pm - 8.30pm on Tuesdays, at The Silhillians

It’s time to start training!

Mens Club Training starts 7pm at The Silhillians on Tuesday 3 September with Club Coach, Eti, and the coaching team - Ayden, Jim (GK) and Jon Clutterbuck (M3 Capt & Coach).

All players and all teams will be welcomed this season as our season in higher League fixtures commence on 28 September. Training sessions will embed the core playing principles that all teams will be expected to execute on Saturdays and build the teamwork that is required for success on the pitch.

Club Training will finish at 8:30pm overlapping with Performance Training (starts 8pm) in which 30 minutes there will be opportunities for some high potential younger players to get a feel for M1/M2 pace, skills and intensity required and will also be time set aside to offer team specific ‘technical’ sessions such as penalty corner routines, defensive/offensive transitioning, pressing as a team and teamwork at set pieces.

Pre-season fixtures and Club Training games for Saturdays are now on Pitchero. There’s a very short build up to League fixtures starting with Club Day hockey from 3pm for Mens teams (M3-M6) on Saturday 7th September. Update your availability and intention to attend on Pitchero now!

Our teams face new challenges in new Leagues which will stretch players at all levels and we expect that there will be movement of players between squads as the season progresses. Captains will be talking to players at our Club Day on 7th September and at Training when they are building their squads based on players attending both Club Training and making themselves available to play on Saturdays, please update Pitchero now and for the weeks ahead to help Captains.

If you would like to discuss any aspect of your hockey in the season 24/25 ahead, please get in touch with your team captain, or Nick O (Mens Club Captain), Eti Blatt (Mens Club Coaching Lead) or Jim Goldstraw (GK Coaching)
