Old Silhillians HC is a Community Based hockey club, founded in 1930, originally as an Old Boys Club of Solihull School, but now a fully mixed, and completely open membership community organisation.

The Women's section was founded in the early 1980s and through mergers with Hockley Heath and Pickwick Ladies Hockey Clubs in the 80s and 90s were able to put out two teams at times during this period.

The club has grown significantly since then, won European Hockey Club of the Year in 2013; England Hockey Club of the year in 2014, and now boasts 6 Men's teams and 5 Women's teams on Saturdays. along with a mid-week veterans, and various Sunday junior and Masters teams.
